E. Hurelbrink Joins GCO Education Loan Funding Corp.
New York, NY, - December 1, 2005 - Michael E.
Hurelbrink has joined GCO Education Loan Funding Corp. (GCO ELF) as
General Counsel. Mr. Hurelbrink will advise senior management on
corporate governance, student loan securitizations, secondary market issues,
risk management and general business matters.
Prior to joining GCO ELF, Mr. Hurelbrink was an attorney
with Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP in New York, NY. He acted as
issuer's counsel in connection with numerous student loan
securitizations. In addition, he advised European and American companies
on international acquisitions and transactions and provided advice and counsel
to national and international banks. Mr. Hurelbrink brings a solid background
in the legal aspects of structured finance, acquisitions and banking to the GCO
ELF team.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the
University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of
Law.
