Robert A. Culnane - President

Robert A. Culnane has worked as a student loan industry participant and as an investment banker to student loan issuers since 1985. Most recently, he was Managing Director of the Capital Markets Division of First Marblehead Corporation. Mr. Culnane has been associated with First Marblehead since the early 1990s when he assisted the company in raising capital and executed securitizations. Between 1981 and 2000, Mr. Culnane was Vice President and Manager in the Municipal Bond Department at Goldman Sachs, responsible for running the $38 billion Short Term Group and leading their tax-exempt student loan business. Mr. Culnane has completed over $4.0 billion in taxable and tax-exempt student loan financings. He holds a B.S. degree from Middlebury College where he graduated with Honors.
